AVM Timor Leste signs MOU with Kaebauk
AVM Timor-Leste is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Kaebauk Investimentu no Finansas (KIF), a leading microfinance institution in Timor-Leste. As we all know, Kaebauk began as Tuba Rai Metin (TRM) in 2001 and officially transformed into Kaebauk in 2016, becoming the country’s first “ODTI”—Other Deposit Taking Institution licensed by the Central Bank.
Today, Kaebauk operates across numerous districts with over 22 branches, serving more than 18,000 clients, particularly focusing on rural, low-income entrepreneurs and promoting financial inclusion. The institution emphasizes empowering women, expanding access to credit, and helping households improve their quality of life.
Through this partnership, AVM Timor-Leste and Kaebauk will collaborate on programs to enhance skills, deliver educational support, and drive community development. Together, we aim to create new opportunities that uplift youth and contribute to sustainable growth in Timor-Leste.
AVM Timor-Leste and ETDA
Working together with ETDA (East Timor Development Agency), AVM Timor-Leste aims to target current students enrolled in Certificate III in Food & Beverage and provide them the opportunity to upgrade to the Australian Qualification – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
This transition program is designed to elevate their skills to international standards and enhance employment opportunities. The upgrade pathway is delivered over a 3 to 6-month period, combining practical training and theory aligned with Australian vocational benchmarks.
Working with Don Bosco Technical High School
In collaboration with Don Bosco Technical High School in Fatumaca, AVM Timor-Leste is enrolling current Automotive students into the Australian Qualification – Certificate III in Light Vehicle Body Repair. This 6-month program is designed to enhance students’ existing skills with internationally recognised training, focusing on practical techniques in panel beating and vehicle body repair.
By aligning with Australian industry standards, the program opens pathways to employment both locally and overseas in the automotive repair and maintenance sector.
